Welcome to Base Support Unit (BSU) Alameda!

Mission Support Community (MSC) Alameda is comprised of the Base Support Unit (BSU), Personnel Services & Support Unit (PSSU), Health Services & Work Life Field Office(HSWL-FO), Naval Engineering Support Unit (NESU), Electronic Systems Support Unit (ESU), Civil Engineering Unit (CEU), and the DCMS Distributed Workforce.

MSC Alameda provides a wide variety of services in direct support of Coast Guard activities throughout the West Coast.  Among these are the management of approx 1200 CG-owned Housing units, warehousing, health care services, work-life services, transportation of household goods, and personnel support services.  Facilities maintenance is provided to all tenant commands on CG Island, and industrial support is provided throughout the West Coast.

MSC Alameda is located on CG Island and is home to a variety of tenant commands including: Commander, Pacific Area; Commander, Maintenance & Logistics Command Pacific; Sector San Francisco Bay; Training Team One; Naval Engineering Support Unit Alameda; Electronics Support Unit Alameda; and homeport for 3 High Endurance Coast Guard Cutters: CGC SHERMAN, CGC MORGENTHAU and CGC BOUTWELL.
